As the LNG market rebalances following an oversupplied 2020 followed by record-high Asian prices in early 2021, the outlook for growth is coming into focus. Demand likely will continue to grow briskly in China Southeast Asia, India and other South Asian countries. Decarbonization initiatives in mature demand centers such as Japan, Korea and Taiwan likely will drive demand growth as well. On the other side of the balance, demand in Europe is likely to fall from recent highs as other regions draw scarce LNG away from the Atlantic Basin through 2023. After 2023, new capacity will begin to enter the market but the longer-term outlook remains uncertain as project development efforts continue to lag.

Join Poten & Partners as we sort through all of the moving parts and try to make sense of supply and demand over the next decade.

Topics to be addressed:

• The outlook for demand by region, identifying where growth will be strongest and where it will lag
• A range of supply scenarios based on possible FID dates and startup timing
• The medium-term market balance and how it will affect pricing
• How many projects are there room for and what is the potential for future surpluses beyond 2025?
